In 1860, St. Francis Cemetery in Friday Harbor in San Juan County, administered by St. Francis Church, was established. Daniel Madden deeded the cemetery property to the church in 1884. It is 1½ acres in size and contains approximately 180 burials.  The site is located along the road between the English Camp and the American Camp.
